About Adam Bonosky

I grew up in Perinton, attending Brooks Hill, playing rec soccer, and ice skating in Potter Park. After graduating from McQuaid, I went on to study architecture at Notre Dame where I met my wife, and learned the role of an architect as a civil servant. I aligned these lessons to my studies when I returned to school to pursue an education in community planning and design. After living in cities to attain our professional and educational goals, my wife and I looked for the right place to grow our roots and raise our family. My wife and I would spend time in Fairport when we would visit family. We saw the positive momentum, the unique village, and we knew this was the place for us. In 2020, we decided it was time to move to our forever home in Fairport. Today we couldn’t be happier to be in the village with our enthusiastic 5 ½-year-old son who makes us laugh and gives the best hugs. We relish being within walking distance of the canal and village destinations. Our son loves being near so many places to play and get ice cream. We are proud of what Fairport offers and don’t miss a chance to tell our friends and family.

I have been fortunate to have role models that set an example for community involvement. I have also learned that keeping the vibrancy of a place and achieving a community's goals takes collaboration and energy I aim to keep Fairport rising as the jewel of the Erie Canal. By appropriately incorporating a range of housing options and enhancing our Main Street, our local businesses will thrive while making our village more accessible and ensuring long-term economic sustainability. There has been progress in making Fairport a more walkable place. I want to expand this to make our village a place where people of all ages feel comfortable walking and biking to our unique destinations. Our success as a community is connected to the success of our neighbors and the region. I will grow relationships with our neighbors, and the region to leverage investment in Fairport and enhance our quality of life.

I know that I do not have all the answers, and my experience has taught me that the smartest person in the room is the room itself, so I ask you to join me in helping Fairport continue its rise.
